What are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are a technique where synthetic lashes are applied to natural lashes to lengthen and thicken them.
There are various techniques for eyelash extensions to choose from. The specific technique you select depends on your personal preferences and the expertise of the technician performing the procedure. Ideally, the extension should complement your facial features, creating a natural look that enhances your unique beauty.
Still unsure which eyelash extension technique to choose? Let’s explore the details of each style!
Classic Round Lashes
This style is used for a one-to-one application and is also known as the classic style. It comes in both matte and glossy versions. In short, it’s the safest choice with minimal risk of error!
Flat Lashes
Flat lashes are a variation of round lashes, with a concave structure that makes them lighter than round lashes.
This is the most classic technique. In a line-by-line eyelash extension procedure, synthetic lashes are applied to each individual natural lash. The result is natural and clean, perfect for those who want added lashes that look "naturally" full. I must admit, this is one of my favorite techniques!
Brazilian Volume Lashes
The difference between the classic individual lash technique and the Brazilian volume technique is that the latter offers a fuller finish. What gives this aesthetic its distinctive look is the "Y"-shaped synthetic lash, which creates a more voluminous appearance.
Egyptian Volume Lashes
Similar to Brazilian volume lashes, Egyptian volume lashes are slightly fuller while still providing a light, airy feel. While the Brazilian volume lashes use "Y"-shaped lashes, Egyptian volume lashes use "W"-shaped lashes, giving the lashes a longer and fuller look.
English Volume Lashes
English volume lashes are very similar to Russian volume lashes and are also ideal for those who want a dramatic, full, and voluminous look. The main difference is in the type of lash used, as English volume lashes are made with a 4D technological lash fiber.
How to Care for Eyelash Extensions?
How can you make your eyelash extensions last longer? If the procedure is done well and proper care is taken, eyelash extensions can last up to one month.
What is the use of mascara? If your lashes are already longer and thicker, mascara is completely unnecessary. Avoid using mascara, as it can reduce the longevity of your extensions.
Choose an oil-free makeup remover, as oils in makeup removers can cause eyelash extensions to fall out. Opt for neutral soaps or makeup removers that do not contain oils. Also, use tissues instead of cotton pads to wipe your face, as cotton can easily stick to the lashes.
Avoid rubbing your eyes! Here are two tips: First, try to avoid touching your lashes as much as possible, as this can loosen some lashes and leave gaps in the extensions. The second tip concerns sleep: if possible, wear a satin or silk eye mask while sleeping to reduce friction around your eyes during the night.
